According to a renowned architect, A Claude Campbell who authored “Glimpses of the Nizam’s Dominion”, published in 1898, wrote, “The building was used for receptions and banquets, and from the architectural point of view it ranks high among the palaces of Hyderabad.”

And it is not hard to imagine why!

This is how the upper storey would look today, it is closed hence the shot is made from a window.
