Patancheru Tombs

An interesting array of deteriorating textures on a heritage monument which is in the heart of an industrial area and is under threat from the air pollution from the factories as well as the heavy traffic.

The image is a wall from the mausoleum of Amin Khan, a late 16th century feudatory of the Qutb Shahis, who ruled in the Patancheru area. The central arch of the has a stone inscription that records details of Amin Khan’s rule.
