Bonalu is a common man’s festival. Apart from the major temples across the city, there are numerous small temples on any given street that celebrate the Bonalu, where women can make their offerings to the Goddess. Most of these temples are decorated with art/symbols that are bright and colourful and very often depict the Goddess, the women who make offerings and the soothsayers or the potharajus.
