Coconuts anyone?

coconuts_small

Coconuts are an integral part of any ritual in temples across India. And the lemon/chilly combination is used to ward of evil spirits and is tied to any metallic object(new vehicle/car/machinery) before it is put into use.

The vendors were amused that I wanted to click a picture of their stall. I think the warm evening light on the well arranged heap of coconuts as well as shy expressions of the men behind the stall made for a nice picture.

  1. I like this picture. The regularity of the coconuts serving windows to the activities on the other side is cool
